This application form is for Students only. The Mentor Application Form is here. Once you have filled in the form, the Mentoring Program Coordinator will begin a search through our club database of available mentors to find a match for you.
You must be a member of the Valley Woodturners in good standing (dues paid) to participate in the Mentoring Program.
The club's mentoring program is done on a volunteer basis and there is no remuneration involved. As student, it is very important to remember that if you commit to a time and place for a mentoring session, you must make all possible effort to meet your commitment. Our mentors give freely of their time and it is important to recognize and respect that.
If, at the last minute, you feel that you cannot honour your commitment, please contact your assigned mentor as soon as possible. If the mentor cannot re-schedule, please re-apply and we will do our best to find you a new mentor.
Upon completion of the mentoring session, you will be asked to fill out a confidential evaluation report which the club will use to enhance the Mentoring Program.
